Who we are
This website belongs to Steve Wood trading as M40 People and Performance. Steve Wood is the data controller for the information covered by this notice. You can contact us at hello@m40performance.co.uk.
What we collect
- When you get in touch. If you email us, we keep your name, email address, any organisation and role you give, and what you tell us.
- When you visit. The company that hosts this site (Netlify) keeps standard server logs, such as your IP address and the pages requested, to run and protect the site. We don't use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers.
- Our tools. Nothing anyone enters into our online tools leaves their browser, so we never see it.
Why we use it
We use your details to reply to you and, if you want, to arrange a conversation. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us. We won't add you to a mailing list or share your details for marketing.
Who else handles it
- Netlify hosts this website. Netlify is based in the United States, and transfers are covered by the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
- Microsoft provides our business email and file storage, in UK and EU data centres.
We don't sell your information, and we only share it if the law requires us to.
How long we keep it
If we don't go on to work together, we delete enquiries after 12 months. If we do, the details become part of our working records and are kept as set out in our agreement. Client data from any piece of work is covered by a separate data processing agreement.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Just email hello@m40performance.co.uk and we'll respond within a month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though we'd appreciate the chance to put it right first.
